There are plenty of opportunities for campers to explore and enjoy the outdoors. Our campers take part in activities such as fishing, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, and nature exploration. All campers are encouraged to try new things, develop new skills, and form lasting friendships. Ferry Hill Day Camp is a unique summer experience that will take your family back to the days of old-fashioned camp. Taekwondo is an ancient martial art that has been around for centuries. The word “taekwondo” is a combination of the Korean words “tae” (kicking techniques), “kwon” (hand techniques) and “do” (discipline and the right way). As such, it is a complete martial art that emphasizes both physical and mental development. Today, millions of people around the world are learning taekwondo for a variety of reasons. Not only does it teach discipline and self-defense, but it also helps to improve flexibility, power, and mental strength. Additionally, taekwondo teaches its practitioners the taekwondo tenets of courtesy, integrity, self-control, perseverance, and indomitable spirit. Taekwondo has become so popular that it is now an Olympic event and many colleges in the United States offer it as part of their curriculum.

The Club is committed to providing a safe and engaging atmosphere for children and teens ages 5-18. We offer a wide range of after-school activities such as sports, arts & crafts, and STEM activities, as well as mentoring, tutoring, and special events. Our dedicated staff is there to help kids develop the skills they need to succeed and reach their potential. We are also expanding our reach to serve the greater South Shore community and provide resources to those in need.

At Furnace Brook Farm, riders of all ages and levels of experience can enjoy year-round lessons, a full camp program for the summer and school vacations, and basic dressage training. With 15 stalls, an outdoor arena, and large turnouts, this modern equine facility is a great place for your family to gain experience with horses. Champions have been trained here, and riders of any experience level will find something to enjoy.

Vicki McPherson has been in the gymnastics world for more than 40 years. She began her journey by being taught by her father, the owner and coach of the Gymnastics Academy of Boston. Her coaching experience spans all levels from preschool and recreational programs to pre-team developmental programs. At TumbleFun Gymnastics, the family tradition continues with Vicki’s son, JJ McPherson, joining the team. Together, they strive to create a family-oriented atmosphere in the gym, making it a warm and inviting place for all. Vicki and JJ McPherson are a dynamite duo, committed to furthering the family business of gymnastics. With decades of experience and expertise, they are dedicated to providing a safe, inviting, and fun environment for kids of all ages to learn, grow, and have a great time.

At South Shore Riding Stable, we understand the importance of quality training and care for horse and rider. Our exceptional and attentive care of the horse is paramount, and we cultivate a friendly and welcoming environment for all. Our lesson horses and ponies are available to suit any level of riding, from safe beginner ponies to equitation horses. For those looking to further their commitment to riding, we also offer leases and sales.

North River Nature Camp in Marshfield is a great place for children ages 4.5–14 to explore their curiosity about the natural world. Set on a 225-acre wildlife sanctuary, campers get to have fun and make friends while learning about the outdoors. With activities like trail explorations, habitat investigations, hands-on experiments, wildlife observation, creative games and crafts, and more, there’s something for every child to enjoy. Plus, small group sizes allow counselors to develop a caring and supportive environment for each camper. In Chinese Taiji Qigong theory and practice, a calm and centered state of consciousness offers the opportunity for one to receive their heavenly mandate. Once one has been given their mandate, they must begin to work on their mission in order to receive the necessary support from the heavens. It is evident that Ms. McKenney is already taking steps to realize her calling here on Earth. Zazen is a meditative practice that allows a person to become immersed in the spiritual realm. This is achieved by being in the Wuji, or nothingness, and then allowing one to better navigate the material world of yin and yang. As a type of sitting meditation, Zazen is a way to explore the Grand Ultimate of Taiji.
