For 26 years, Franklin Family Karate has been enriching the lives of Franklin's children and adults through the martial arts. Our Kenpo Karate classes are designed to promote self-confidence and age-appropriate discipline, all while having fun and making friends. Our instructors facilitate positive reinforcement and interaction among students, helping them to develop the confidence and focus they need to succeed in school and in life.
At Franklin Family Karate, we are proud to have been part of the Franklin community for over two decades. Our mission is to instill good values and self-confidence in our students, while teaching them the martial art of Kenpo Karate. Our instructors create an environment of mutual respect and positive reinforcement, helping children to develop the focus and attention they need to excel in all areas of their lives. We look forward to continuing to serve the Franklin community and helping our students reach their full potential.
The ages from 3 to 5 are important years of a child’s development. The skills learned in our Little Dragons program will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. They will become better students in school, better listeners at home, and more ambitious towards the future. Your child will have fun while learning a wide variety of skills all within a safe and exciting environment.

Kenpo Kids (7-10)
Our Kenpo Kids program has helped hundreds of children reach their full potential. Using innovative methods and just the right amount of fun, we teach our young students life skills and physical skills that will benefit them now and as they grow into adults. Our program is unique in that the children have weekly checklists to fill out, holding them accountable for daily responsibilites, such as listening to Mom and Dad, keeping their room clean, and keeping academics in check. Each week, they present the checklist after class to Mr. Crehan, and he takes time with each child to go over their progress.

Young Adults (11-14)
During the pre-teen and teen years, children are subjected to a wide range of influences, not all of them good. As they grow through their teen years, the difference between good decisions and bad decisions takes on much greater significance. In today’s world, it is vital that they have positive peer relationships and positive role models in addition to you and their classroom teachers.
