Our goal is to make sure each resident is able to engage in activities to promote physical and mental health. The Recreation Department works in conjunction with local sports associations, school departments, individual Town residents, private groups, church and civic groups, as well as other Town departments. This allows us to provide a wide array of recreational activities for the community. Each year, we are proud to serve over 8,000 people in the area. Our commitment to providing quality recreational services is growing each year, as we continue to serve the residents in the area of recreation and leisure services. From scheduling all fields, playgrounds and courts, to offering sporting activities for children and families in need, the Recreation Department is a service-based department that is dedicated to improving the quality of life for our community. At Little Music School, children can start learning to play the piano from as young as 18 months. Under the direction of Kim Rezendes, the Little Music School method has been developed to help children explore the joys of music-making and the arts from a young age. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts is the first school in the United States to offer the program – a great opportunity for young children to get an early start on learning to play the piano. Little Music School is at the forefront of providing innovative music education experiences for children. Under the guidance of Kim Rezendes, the school has developed a unique method of introducing children as young as 18 months to the joys of music-making and exploration of the arts. The Franklin School for the Performing Arts has been chosen as the first school in the United States to bring the Little Music School method to their students, offering them the opportunity to get an early start on learning to play the piano. The Little Music School method, developed by Kim Rezendes, is an exciting way to engage young children in the joys of music-making and exploration of the arts. The Adirondack Club aims to provide you with an experience that is unique in this area. We have a comfortable and friendly atmosphere in which to exercise, relax, and have fun! Membership at The Adirondack Club includes an amazing selection of group fitness classes each week and two state-of-the-art fitness centers. Our competition lap pool and beach-entry recreational pool are covered in the winter allowing us to offer aquatic programs, including swim lessons and swim team, all year-round. With the bubble off in the summer, the pool, sprayground, and waterslide are the perfect setting for an afternoon of family fun. We offer our members six championship tennis courts and are home to DBH, USTA, SNEITA, and C-Mass teams. Our dedicated staff of tennis professionals offer lessons and class programming for adults and juniors at all skill levels. Your children will be safe and sound in our Children’s Center featuring play structures (Fire House, Beauty Shop & School House!), an Art Center, Hopscotch & Four-Square, and a Blocks/Building Center. Summer Camp, Active Kids, the after-school program that keeps kids moving, and our new Active Kids PreSchool are under the careful supervision of our certified staff.

We encourage you to post the calendar on the refrigerator and use it to regularly ask your child about the themes, activities and events they are engaging in at school.
