At Rainbow Place, children learn through play, explore and discover new things every day. They are provided with a nurturing, safe and fun environment, and their teachers focus on building a strong foundation for Kindergarten readiness. They create developmentally appropriate activities and individualize them to best fit each child’s needs. The teachers use art, science and dramatic play to engage the children and foster their confidence and independence. They also strive to introduce the students to the larger community by taking them on field trips and inviting visitors in for special activities. It is a place of music, dancing, kindness, laughter, sharing, being silly, and magic, and the teachers love watching the children make friends and discover the world around them.

Martha’s Vineyard Live Music is a group of musician friends from Boston, Newport, and New York who live on the island from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The rest of the year we are performing worldwide, teaching music, and recording in our studios. As friends, we have been playing together for more than 20 years and love spending the summer on the Vineyard at jam sessions, performing at parties, or playing clubs on the island including The Ritz Cafe, The Offshore Ale House, and Sand Bar & Grill, among others.

Martha’s Vineyard Kid Sitters was established in 2005 (Mass. License L08458) We are 100% locally owned and operated – this is not a clearinghouse where people can apply for part time work and then are placed. We speak to every client and after understanding their needs we endeavor to place the right sitter. We want the adults and the children to have fun! (but mostly to be safe). We do not charge registration or placement fees in order to provide services. The sitters are reference checked, background checked and experienced; indeed some have been with us from the start. The sitters are students, teachers, parents and others who can care for and love and respect children.
