The FARM Institute’s land, plants, and animals provide countless opportunities for campers to learn about teamwork, environmental stewardship, math, science, the arts, carpentry, and more. The possibilities are endless! We pride ourselves in offering a unique farm camp experience that will connect your child with the land that surrounds and supports us. Once cultivated by Native Americans and European settlers, the 162-acre FARM Institute at Katama Farm is a working farm devoted to sustainable agriculture and farm education. In 2005, the FARM Institute, an island nonprofit devoted to connecting children to agriculture, made it their headquarters and restored the buildings and grounds. After becoming a Trustees-managed property in 2016, the farm is now home to beef cattle, sheep, goats, and poultry.... Show more
