Early Childhood at Green Briar

We offer a weekly immersive, play-based early childhood experience, for ages 3-5. Each week, we will spend time outside, playing in nature. Activities will include walks, hands-on science, art-making, music, movement, and sensory exploration. Inside offers cooperative play in the Green Meadow Forest plus observation & learning about the animals in our Live Menagerie.

Private Jam Classes

Here is a wonderful opportunity to learn how to cook in our beloved 1903 kitchen. Join Emalee Pierce in the Green Briar Jam Kitchen and make your own batch of something special to take home and enjoy. All materials are provided, and participants take home four to six (8oz.) jars of finished product. These classes are great for family reunions or just a fun excuse to get a group of friends together. We are offering the opportunity to bring your own group of up to four or six people. You choose your flavor for the group to make once your reservation is confirmed.

Green Meadow Forest

You can cook with Mr. and Mrs. Peter Rabbit in their Rabbit Hollow, fish with Billy Mink, try Plinko with Happy Jack Squirrel, and enjoy other activities! Visitors will become familiar with the animals native to the area, their habitat and how they were portrayed in Burgess’s stories. Then, enjoy a closer look at some of the animals that inhabit Cape Cod and appear in Burgess stories in our Live Menagerie! For added fun, our Treetop Shop has a selection of Burgess books, character puppets and tools for the nature lover explorer. WE WELCOME A NEW GENERATION OF KIDS AND FAMILIES TO ENJOY THIS SPECIAL PLACE!
