At FJECC, we believe that all children have the right to be respected and valued for their individual differences. We strive to create an environment in which children can express themselves openly and honestly, and can take risks without fear of criticism or judgement. Our teachers provide positive reinforcement to help build children’s self-esteem and to motivate them to achieve their full potential. We are committed to providing an educational experience that fosters a love of learning. Through meaningful activities, exploration of the environment, and creative play, children are encouraged to explore their own interests and discover their strengths and weaknesses. Our curriculum includes both academic and non-academic activities, allowing each child to learn in their own individual way. We recognize that every child grows, develops, and learns in different ways, and we strive to create an atmosphere in which every child can reach their full potential.

Enrichment Programs

In addition to the rich and varied curriculum that is offered at FJECC, we also offer a number of developmentally appropriate enrichment programs for our students. Intergenerational Volunteers Museum of Fine Arts Collaboration S.T.E.M. Programming Museum of Science Curriculum Pilot Muddy River Science Area Collaboration Curious Creatures Educational Visits Early Identification of Learning Challenges Kindergarten or First Grade Readiness Our enrichment programs have also hosted musicians, artists, physicians, dentists and people with significant disabilities including those with Seeing Eye dogs, just to name a few. Each unique enrichment program broadens our students' knowledge and exposes them to new experiences, creating life-long memories and impressions.
