Serving 6,000 children and families annually, Children’s Services of Roxbury (CSR) is a beacon of hope in the Massachusetts community. Run by and for people of color, this nonprofit organization provides housing for homeless families, affordable childcare, children’s mental health services, intensive foster care, and youth development programs. With services located in the heart of Boston’s multicultural communities as well as in Worcester, Western MA, and Northern MA, CSR strives to help families take the first steps towards stability and peace of mind. BeAKid
Early Education and Care Center
CSR’s Early Education and Care Center is delivered in a community or school-based setting that serves infants (birth to 15 months), toddlers (16 months to two years, nine months), and pre-school (two years, nine months to age six). Any Childcare provided in a facility outside the child’s own home, including a center-based program, after-school program, or in a family child care home, must be licensed or authorized by EEC.

Youth & Police in Partnership (YPP)
Youth & Police in Partnership (YPP) activates young people of color ages 14 to 18 to be change agents in their communities by influencing peers and community leaders – including law enforcement – in real, powerful, and engaging social change initiatives. Through the program, young people heal from historical trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), change their opinions and those of law enforcement towards each other, and build real-world skills to advance personal goals and community needs.

In-Home Therapy
Our In-Home Therapy services support families with sustaining their child’s success in the home and community. Supports include improving the family’s ability to provide effective support for their child, and promoting healthy functions within the family. In-Home Therapy is a structured, consistent, strength-based therapeutic relationship between a clinician, a child and family, to treat behavioral health needs. Our support services often prevent children and youth (age 21 and under) from needing hospitalization or residential services.
