About Rogers-Pierce Childrens Center in Arlington, MA
At Roger-Pierce Children’s Center, we strive to create a safe and nurturing learning atmosphere. With our flexible scheduling and open enrollment policy, parents have the opportunity to find the perfect fit for their family’s needs. Our classes have a low teacher-to-child ratio, allowing us to provide extra attention and stimulation for children. Our curriculum encourages choice-making, autonomy, and social competence, while exploring music and movement, science and nature, families and culture, art and numbers. We provide the perfect setting for children to explore, experiment, and develop skills at their own level of ability.

Toddlers
The Toddler program is designed to promote and enhance your child’s growth and development. The structure of daily activities is carefully planned to encourage independence, self -confidence and social emotional skills. Through the sensory table, crafts, dramatic play and manipulatives we give the toddlers ample opportunity to have fun and get a little messy. We create an environment filled with discovery and joy as your child learns through play.

Preschool
In this classroom, we support the children as they continue to develop their skills. We introduce the “cause and effect” relationship, and provide opportunities for teamwork, negotiation and problem solving. While we operate as one large group, we still encourage the children to be independent and self-confident. Using the various classrooms areas (Dress Up, Blocks, Library, Manipulatives, Art, and Sensory), the children can experience playful learning, creating their own stories through their imaginations.

Pre-K1
In this classroom we enhance the current skills of the children and introduce more problem-solving ideas. We create a well-balanced curriculum with art and hands-on activities, while also working on kindergarten-readiness skills. With books, songs, calendars, student helpers, and lots of questions and answers, circle time is one of the favorite activities in this classroom!
