Introductory Lesson Package

The three-lesson introductory package is an excellent way to make sure that piano lessons are right for you, and to see if the teacher is a good fit. The package consists of three private lessons offered at 30, 45, or 60 minute length with the option to continue for the full semester if you choose. Students will need access to a keyboard or piano at home.

Private Lessons

Private piano lessons are offered by semester, with a 16-week (Margaret) or 17-week (Barbara) fall and winter semester and a more flexible summer semester. Students must have access to a piano or keyboard outside of class, and are expected to spend time on practice (and play!) between classes. Parents are an important part of the piano lesson as well – for younger students it is very important that the parent is able to attend the lessons and support the student at home in establishing a routine of piano practice and play.

Practice Club (weekly)

Barbara or other qualified teachers will host online practice sessions via Zoom, with students (and parents if they practice together with their child) joining from their homes. We will set goals, mute ourselves, and practice together with periodic check-ins. Breakout rooms may also be used for a teacher and student to speak in more detail without disturbing the other practicers.
