For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. Bring out your child’s inner artist with our year-round creative art workshops! Our unique program offers fun and engaging art classes for kids and teens in New Orleans and all over the world. During the summer, our camp schedule includes morning and afternoon classes, as well as exciting walking trips to Markey Park and Clouet Gardens. We also swim twice a week at Stalling Pool. With a small class size of 24 students, and a 1/6 student/teacher ratio, your child will benefit from individualized attention and instruction. All materials, field trips, and transportation are included in the tuition, as well as Friday Pizza Parties! At the end of each session, students will have the opportunity to showcase their work in a final presentation to family and friends. With our creative art workshops, your child will gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment, and have lots of fun, too!
The mission of the Slidell Youth Football Association is to provide all youth in our community the opportunity to play football or cheer; without regards to his or her size, athletic ability or experience. We are a group of dedicated volunteers devoting our spare time to the youth in this community. Our goal is to teach our youth the Fundamentals of Football: Discipline, Respect, Team Work, Sportsmanship, Leadership, and Character. This will help our youth develop important life skills, while cheering and playing the game of football. Together with the participation of parents, coaches and players, we will have a fun and exciting season!
