Every summer, the Water Weasels assemble, diving into splashing adventures that would make even the mermaids green with envy. Leading the pack is their fearless leader, Splish Splash Sam, a young boy with water-goggled eyes and a heart filled with the love of swimming. With webbed swim gloves and a vibrant rubber duck floaty, Sam is an amphibious superstar, conquering every water body with a joyful splash. He's got the spirit of a dolphin, the speed of a sailfish, and the dog-paddle skills that would outshine any Labrador Retriever. Every ripple of laughter, every wave of joy, and every tide of friendship is woven into the fabric of their unique swimming culture. At Camp Albrecht Acres, we’ve been providing a unique camping experience for people with special needs since 1975. We’ve grown from a small operation of tent camping to a 40-acre residential camp that serves more than 600 campers each summer. Campers are able to enjoy time in the pool, create art in our arts and crafts section, explore nature in our Beidler Nature Center, and take part in weekly dances. Each activity is adapted to their individual needs and abilities, so everyone is able to participate. We are grateful for the generous support we receive from our community, who understand the importance of recreational services for our population of people with special needs.
