About Albrecht Acres of the Midwest

At Camp Albrecht Acres, we’ve been providing a unique camping experience for people with special needs since 1975. We’ve grown from a small operation of tent camping to a 40-acre residential camp that serves more than 600 campers each summer. Campers are able to enjoy time in the pool, create art in our arts and crafts section, explore nature in our Beidler Nature Center, and take part in weekly dances. Each activity is adapted to their individual needs and abilities, so everyone is able to participate. We are grateful for the generous support we receive from our community, who understand the importance of recreational services for our population of people with special needs. We thank you for your support, service, and financial contributions, which make the Camp Albrecht Acres experience possible.

Residential Summer Camp
Week-long camps for all ages and abilities. With 1:1 to 3:1 camper to staff ratios, campers can challenge themselves to new activities in a safe environment. Join us for fishing, arts and crafts, nature, dances, parades, campfires and more! ​$625

Weekend Respite Camp
Shorter residential camps throughout the year for those who want a taste of the week-long camp, or who need less time away. Weekend camps follow a theme and include similar weather-appropriate activities to the residential summer camp. $250

Camp Be A Friend​
Week-long day camp for children on the autism spectrum and their neuro-typical peers between the ages of 4-18. Great way to get back into a routine before school! Activities follow a schedule similar to school. Call (563) 552-1771 for pricing information.
