About Spurlino Family YMCA in Gibsonton, FL
Parents in Riverview and Gibsonton will be thrilled to hear about the brand new YMCA that opened in January 2019. The Spurlino Family Y is part of the Tampa Y association, and is LEED Gold Certified, a prestigious award for sustainability. The Hillsborough County Planning Commission awarded the building for its design in Fall of 2019. The Spurlino Family Y provides a great range of activities for the whole family. Kids can join a reading club or take part in swimming lessons. Parents and children can enjoy the outdoor walking trail and shaded picnic areas for some quality time in the great outdoors. With so much to do, the Spurlino Family Y is the perfect destination for family fun.

BeAKid
Homeschool Program
The YMCA Homeschool Program is an educational program with exciting curriculum options where kids can make new friends while being active through socialization, physical education and learning activities. Children ages 6 to 12 are welcome to participate. Sessions will include at least one hour of physical education (PE). For the remainder of each session, children will engage in educational activities such as STEM, art, performance, design and more.

Kids’ Day Out
Children can make new friends and have fun in a safe and structured environment. All camp activities take place under the guidance of trained Tampa Y counselors, who embrace the values of our organization. Our holiday day camp program includes games, crafts, swimming and more for children ages 5 to 12. Come for one day of camp, or sign up for the whole week. Get ready for a day of summer camp during the school year! To ensure the safety and quality of our program, we do not accept same-day registration for Kids' Day Out. Please register in advance for these safe, fun and engaging camp days!

Swim Lessons
Swim lessons at the Tampa Y begin at 6 months old. A parent joins their child in the pool to get the baby acclimated to the water. Parents learn water safety skills to keep the child safe in and around water.
