The Council has served thousands of members and volunteers since its founding in 1923. The legacy of Miss Ruth Kirkland and her sister Irene continues to this day, as Camp Fire groups still remain the oldest, continuously operating program of the Council. The Council currently provides services to “classic clubs” from the Orange County area. Thanks to the vision of Miss Ruth Kirkland and Irene, the Council has been able to provide quality services to its members for nearly a century.

At Averyboo Arts, we believe that nurturing creative development at an early age is essential for a child’s holistic growth. Through our art classes, camps, and birthday parties, we strive to provide an inspiring space for children 2-12 to express their creativity. Our unique environment offers quality instruction in a safe and fun atmosphere. Since our founding in 2009 by Natalie Meza and her son, Avery, we have become an award-winning creativity center. We are proud to offer a place where we can encourage children to explore the world of art and creativity. The Long Beach Youth Soccer Organization (LBYSO), a well-renowned youth soccer league, is conveniently located at Heartwell Park in the eastern region of Long Beach, California. The organization welcomes young sports enthusiasts aged 4-19 from the Greater Long Beach area. The LBYSO offers placement in both recreational and signature leagues, catering to various skill levels and interests. Furthermore, the LBYSO also provides opportunities for club play, thanks to their association with FC Long Beach. In addition to its local affiliations, the LBYSO is also recognized by prestigious soccer organizations. The league maintains strong ties with Cal South, a significant soccer association in Southern California. This affiliation allows the LBYSO to remain current with the latest soccer training methods, rules, and regulations that are essential for the comprehensive development of its players. The LBYSO's affiliations extend to the national level as well, being closely associated with US Soccer.
