At the Del Mar Golf Center Junior Academy, we understand the importance of fostering a lifelong love for the game of golf. That’s why we’ve created our comprehensive Long Term Athletic Development (LTAD) program. Our program focuses on developing the skills needed to become an outstanding golfer, while nurturing a love for the game. Our weekly classes are designed to maximize learning and development. Each class consists of 45 minutes dedicated to golf-specific training, with an additional 45 minutes dedicated to athletic development. To ensure your young golfer receives individual attention, we keep our class sizes small, with a maximum ratio of 6-1. Our golf and athletic training staff are committed to providing personalized instruction. At the Del Mar Golf Center Junior Academy, we strive to ensure your young golfer develops a lifelong love for the game of golf. Alex has had a long and successful tennis career. He graduated from Torrey Pines High School in 1980, where he excelled playing both #1 Singles and Doubles. He then went on to attend Grossmont Junior College for a year, where he also played #1 Singles and Doubles. In 1981, he transferred to Arizona State University and held the #2 Singles and #1 Doubles titles. Alex has made a lasting impact on the sport of tennis. He served on the Board for Youth Tennis San Diego for 4 years, and has been a Board Member for the San Diego Division of USPTA for over 30 years. He was awarded the USPTA Professional of the Year award in 2010, and his family received the USTA Family of the Year Award in 2006. The prestigious USTA Pro of the Year award will be presented to Alex in January 2022. He is also certified for Independent Study PE (ISPE) with the San Dieguito Union School District, and is certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED.

Surf Sessions has been offering surf lessons and camps for over 20 years! Our youth surf camps are designed to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for boys and girls of all ages and abilities. For our more experienced surfers, we have an all-girls surf camp and teen surf camp, perfect for getting the most out of an unforgettable surf experience. For adults, we offer surf lessons and overnight surf camps for men and women. Our experienced instructors are dedicated to helping all of our participants reach their individual goals and master the sport of surfing. Whether you're just starting out or looking to improve your skills, our programs provide the perfect opportunity for you to get out and enjoy the waves.
