At MCBJJ Academy, we are proud to have Marcelo Cavalcanti as our owner and head coach. Marcelo has been training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 1992, and he earned his black belt under Rigan Machado in 2003. He is a 4th degree black belt under Roberto “Gordo” Corrêa and Ring Team Affiliate. Marcelo has a long history in the fight scene and has been committed to teaching and promoting Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2007 when the academy first opened its doors in Carson, California. We are heavily invested in providing a warm, welcoming atmosphere for our students to learn and grow.
