Dear Families, Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people. Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment. At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new. Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special. Parents searching for ways to help their kids develop skills in strategic thinking and problem-solving should look no further than the Berkeley Chess School. This 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization offers a wide range of chess instruction and activities to help kids learn and grow. From regional chess tournaments, including an all-girls event, to winter, spring and summer chess camps, there’s something for everyone. The Berkeley Chess School also offers a Friday night chess program in Berkeley, San Ramon, Walnut Creek and Mountain House. Each session includes a class and a USCF rated tournament. Kids who are more advanced can participate in specialized classes and master classes throughout the week. Additionally, the Berkeley Chess School brings chess instruction to Title One schools and has an international chess exchange program. At YEA Camp, we bring together an incredible group of individuals who are passionate about making a difference. Our campers learn to become effective activists and gain valuable skills to help them take action on issues they are passionate about, such as climate change, racism, LGBTQ+ rights, and animal rights. It's been an incredible journey over the past decade, and we can't wait to see what the next 10 years brings!

I started East Bay Music Together in 1996 to share my passion for music with other families. Today, East Bay Music Together has grown to be an organization of 15 teachers offering classes in 15 different locations in the East Bay. We make music with up to 1200 families every session, and have had the privilege of sharing music with over 45,000 East Bay families in our mixed age classes, big kid classes, preschools, Head Start Centers, Children's Hospital in Oakland, and a residential treatment/incarceration facility for women with young children. Our focus is to bring the joy of family music making to all families with children birth through age seven and the adults who love them.

Camp Winnarainbow was founded in 1975 by Hippy Icon, Flower Geezer, Poet, Activist Wavy Gravy. With his creativity and passion for making a positive impact on the world, Wavy Gravy has created a community of inspiring individuals dedicated to spreading joy and a love for life. The camp motto, "Toward the Fun!", reflects the positive atmosphere created by the staff and campers. Camp Winnarainbow is located at the Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, California. This beautiful location is home to sacred Black Oak trees, Streeter Creek, open fields, and majestic mountains, all of which contribute to the camp's unique experience. The beauty of the land is an integral part of the Winnarainbow community.

At JCC Summer Camp, your child can explore and discover the world around them in a safe and exciting environment. They’ll make new friends, strengthen relationships with their counselors, and celebrate Jewish traditions all while having fun. Your child can gain a sense of Judaism in a new way as they engage in service projects, song, art, dance, and drama. Through these activities, they can learn how to make the world a better place while testing their personal limits and discovering new interests. At JCC Summer Camp, your child will benefit from an intimate day camp experience that allows them to explore and grow. They’ll get to have fun, make new friends, and develop meaningful relationships with their counselors as they develop a better understanding of Jewish traditions and values.

At San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys Jewish Camp, we provide Jewish kids from all over the area with a unique, fun, and safe opportunity for play, laughter, and learning. Our eight one-week sessions, which are held five in Pasadena and three in Pomona, offer traditional camp activities coupled with Jewish themes and culture. This helps create lasting friendships and memories that will stay with campers long after camp is over. Our hours are 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., and before and after camp care is available. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, we have taken extra care to ensure that our campers, staff, and families are kept safe by following all applicable federal, state, and local guidelines and best practices. At San Gabriel and Pomona Valleys Jewish Camp, we strive to provide a nurturing and enriching camp experience for kids of all ages. At Camp Kee Tov, the spirit of ruach is alive and well! Our campers are filled with creative energy and friendship, fueled by the strong bonds between campers and counselors each summer. Every morning starts with Kumzitz, our daily morning song and skit, and every evening ends with community-building friendship circles. Even our Shabbat celebrations are infused with ruach. Our staff is comprised of many former Camp Kee Tov campers, giving our camp a true family feel. We are committed to enriching the lives of our campers through role models, leadership training, and of course, lots of safe and fun activities! Our camp is open to all children of all religious and ethnic backgrounds, and we emphasize the values of mutual respect, tzedakah, and love of nature.
