    About Camp Winnarainbow in Berkeley, CA

    Camp Winnarainbow was founded in 1975 by Hippy Icon, Flower Geezer, Poet, Activist Wavy Gravy. With his creativity and passion for making a positive impact on the world, Wavy Gravy has created a community of inspiring individuals dedicated to spreading joy and a love for life. The camp motto, "Toward the Fun!", reflects the positive atmosphere created by the staff and campers. Camp Winnarainbow is located at the Black Oak Ranch in Laytonville, California. This beautiful location is home to sacred Black Oak trees, Streeter Creek, open fields, and majestic mountains, all of which contribute to the camp's unique experience. The beauty of the land is an integral part of the Winnarainbow community.

    Kids Camp

    Winnarainbow Kids Camp is a unique overnight camp for kids ages 7 – 14 that provides a multitude of activities focused on the Arts as well as time in Nature, creating community and having BIG FUN. Check out our Teen Leadership Program for youth ages 15 – 17! Winnarainbow offers one and two week sessions throughout the summer, each ending in a Community Show Day where you will have the opportunity to experience the Camp Magic alongside your camper.

    Teen Leadership Program

    There’s a lot of work to do right now on this planet to support present and future generations. For over 20 years, the Camp Winnarainbow Teen Leadership Program ensures that youth leaders have a relevant, fun, experiential, creative environment to learn and practice the skills needed in our increasingly complex world. The CWR Teen Leadership Program is comprised of two one-week sessions and two sets of two-week sessions, which provides youth a continuity of learning, care, community, and skill development over time. The TLP is a three-year program, however, your teen can apply at age 15, 16, or 17, whether or not they have been to Camp Winnarainbow before. Our programming is designed so that each level is beneficial as a stand-alone experience.
