Once upon a time, in the sun-soaked state of California, a group of kids played basketball with so much zest and zestiness that it rivaled the heat of the Hollywood stars. California, a place where palm trees sway like dancing giants and the Pacific Ocean plays hide and seek with the setting sun, was their playground. Here, the air is rich with the aroma of fresh oranges and traffic jams! This state is famous for Disneyland, the Golden Gate Bridge, and kids who bounce around with basketballs as though they were born dribbling! The kids, known as the Sunshine Ballers, were as diverse as the many flavors of a food truck festival. They were never seen without a basketball, be it at home, school, or even in their dreams. Basketball wasn't just a game for them - it was like a superpower! But the most interesting member of the Sunshine Ballers was a boy named Chucky. Now, Chucky wasn't your typical Californian kid. He was a giraffe! Yes, you heard it right! A giraffe who had a knack for basketball. Chucky's long legs were a slam-dunk on the court while his large, perky ears heard every dribble and bounce. He was the tallest, goofiest, and undoubtedly, the most lovable player of the Sunshine Ballers. Chucky and the Sunshine Ballers were the heart of California's basketball scene. Between the warm sunny days and Chucky's hilarious, clumsy moves, the basketball courts in California were filled with laughter, enjoyment, and the sweet sound of swishing nets. So, here's a cheer to the Sunshine Ballers of California, where basketball is not just a game, but a way of life, especially if you're a giraffe named Chucky.

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
At Camp Kee Tov, the spirit of ruach is alive and well! Our campers are filled with creative energy and friendship, fueled by the strong bonds between campers and counselors each summer. Every morning starts with Kumzitz, our daily morning song and skit, and every evening ends with community-building friendship circles. Even our Shabbat celebrations are infused with ruach. Our staff is comprised of many former Camp Kee Tov campers, giving our camp a true family feel. We are committed to enriching the lives of our campers through role models, leadership training, and of course, lots of safe and fun activities! Our camp is open to all children of all religious and ethnic backgrounds, and we emphasize the values of mutual respect, tzedakah, and love of nature. With our commitment to ruach and our strong sense of community, Camp Kee Tov is a place that campers of all ages can look forward to each summer!
