For nearly a century, Easterseals Wisconsin has worked to empower children and adults with disabilities to enjoy more independent and fulfilling lives. Our mission is to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers, and enhance the quality of life for people with disabilities. We provide a variety of programs designed to help people with disabilities become self-sufficient and live more independently.

Camp Wawbeek, the longest continuously-operating Easterseals camp in the nation, has been providing services to people with disabilities since 1938. Through our commitment to keep pace with the changing needs of our campers and community, Camp Wawbeek is able to continue to thrive and provide meaningful experiences for children and adults alike. To date, the camp has empowered many individuals to lead independent and fulfilling lives, and we look forward to continuing that mission for many years to come.

Just as Camp Wawbeek has specific weekend and summer sessions for adults, there are specific dates for youth as well. The Youth and Teen Sessions are for ages 7-18 with a special 4-day holiday session taking place between Christmas and New Year’s Eve.

For weekend respite care, my son is staying here. It's the best I've ever seen, is all I can say. My son enjoys attending since the staff does such an amazing job with him. Definitely a kind bunch of individuals.

I would suggest Camp Wawbeek to anyone who has a disadvantaged child because my daughter has been attending there for maybe 18 years. We like the respite, and my daughter adores it.
