Camp Kawaga has been around for over a century, and has always held its main mission to be character building. Our founder established this principle, and it continues to be true today. We strive to live up to The Kawaga Ideal, which is based on our core values of respect, responsibility, sportsmanship, and kindness. Our campers have the opportunity to build relationships, learn about themselves and others, and develop life skills - all while having fun in our unique and vibrant community.
Boys come to Kawaga for either the full eight-week program or a four-week session. Most first-year campers first come for four weeks. Most returning and older campers stay for the full eight weeks.
We design the program for so that each of the four-weeks sessions has its own highlights and special activities. No repeats! That’s why four-weekers get the sense of a complete summer-camp experience and why eight-weekers enjoy the full timeline, leading from Day One to Banquet Night, our awards celebration the night before the boys take the busses back home.
