Mel V10/03/20225I adore this tiny zoo! Despite its modest size, there are many animals to see. It has been wonderful to observe the enclosures' renovations and additions over the last few years. Although though admission to the zoo is free, you should always plan to bring a donation because obviously it costs money to care for all these lovely animals.
Cecile R10/10/20224This is a wonderful spot to visit if you want to take the family on a short stroll through a lovely park and view some animals. It is compact yet charming, with a wonderful selection of animals and lots of entertaining activities for kids. Another advantage is that admission is free. The only drawback, which is why I gave it a 4-star rating, was parking.
RJ B11/21/20225We adore visiting this zoo. It is the ideal size for young children to be able to walk without being overly exhausted. It's lovely in the winter as well since you can still have a fantastic time if you dress warmly and the weather is not too chilly. The lions frequently move around and howl. The polar bear enjoys swimming and is quite active. Also visible is a family of five otters. We miss being able to visit the monkey and reptile enclosure, which is now off limits because of COVID. The playground is open during the summer and is a terrific location to play and run around.
Jed B12/12/20225This Madison treasure is amazing. The park is spotless, and the volunteers and staff are cordial. The fact that it's free still amazes me, and seeing the animals is always entertaining. There is nothing better than a pleasant zoo stroll on a warm day, complete with ice cream from the Chocolate Store.
Dara N12/26/20224The location is fantastic! When I originally heard that it was free, I was genuinely dubious because I assumed that it wouldn't be much. But to my amazement, there were a variety of animals there as well as a playground for kids. Whether you want to take the kids here or if you just want to go around and look around for a while.
