Brad M09/05/20225Aikido enthusiasts who are a really fascinating and accepting group of people. At the age of sixty, I began training in the dojo. The members have only offered me encouragement and support. Despite the fact that I'll probably never test for a black belt rank, the dojo's community, the focus needed to learn this technique, and the pure enjoyment of rolling around on the mat make the trip more significant than the final goal. The nuanced martial art of aikido acknowledges up front that it will take a lifetime to master. There is never a bad time to begin.
