At the Fitchburg Recreation Department, we understand the importance of providing top-notch recreational activities for our community. Our two full-time staff members are dedicated to providing a wide variety of recreational programs for our residents. We are also fortunate to have additional seasonal staff and program instructors, as well as countless volunteer coaches, to ensure our recreational program opportunities are always of the highest quality.

They work hard to create fun and engaging recreational activities for our residents. With their help, we are able to offer a variety of recreational programs that will keep our community active and engaged.

Musikgarten - Baby/Toddler Music Well (Ages 0-2yrs) STARTS TODAY
This class offers adults the opportunity to play with their children in a way that will delight the child and awaken his or her curiosity about music. Activities include singing, bouncing, rocking, finger plays, nursery rhymes, body awareness games, playful echoes, playing simple instruments, and dancing. Instructor Beth Marshall (Music Well, LLC) has over 22 years of experience working with children and families to express themselves and grow closer through the magic of music. Join in the fun!

Fencing Lessons (Grades 2-5) STARTS TODAY
Join this fast-paced, inclusive (everyone participates) Olympic Sport. YEL’s Teach It, Practice It, Play It® approach teaches fencers new skills each class, practices those skills in kid-friendly fencing games, and then encourages students to use those skills in fencing bouts (matches). All equipment provided.

Soccer with Sonic Sport Club (ages 6-8) STARTS TODAY
Participants will learn the sport of soccer by training and playing, developing the fundamentals of soccer along the way. A variety of drills/skills are practiced in each training session including; dribbling (ball control), passing/receiving, and shooting.
The objective is to have fun and learn the skills of soccer. This is a great opportunity for players to learn soccer and make new friends
