Programs at Camp Manito-wish YMCA in Boulder Junction, WI
BeAKid
IN-CAMP ACTIVITIES
Campers will progress through levels at each area where they develop confidence in their skills. They can complete levels and depending on the program area this could take just one day or the entire session. Some program areas will culminate at the end of a session with a bigger challenge like a “Rodeo” with the horses at the barn, a regatta, and even the Manito-Wimbledon at the tennis courts. While other program areas, like Arts and Crafts or Nature, are not level-focused but are intentionally run to discover new skills and allow campers to cultivate life-long passions.

2-7 NIGHTS EXPLORE LEARN
Going on Trail isn’t just a tradition at Manito-wish, it’s one of the features that make us truly unique; it’s an integral part of every summer camper’s Manito-wish experience. Small groups of two counselors/tripping co-leaders and four or five campers will pack out their gear, and venture out into the Northwoods wilderness. Their destination: Any number of rustic, undeveloped campsites along their route. The duration: Two to seven nights, depending on their age and experience level. Their goal: Adopt new outdoor skills, explore the natural world and learn something about themselves.
