About Flying Cloud Summer Camp in Plymouth, VT

At Flying Cloud Camp, every camper is welcomed and celebrated for who they are. There’s no need to conform to any norms or expectations; instead, campers are encouraged to explore the world around them. Through hands-on activities, campers learn to build a fire, carve their own utensils, and appreciate the beauty of the night sky. With so many acres of wilderness to explore, campers gain a sense of independence and self-confidence as they expand their horizons. At Flying Cloud Camp, every camper is seen and accepted for who they are. This off-the-grid experience in the Vermont wilderness provides a unique opportunity for boys and gender non-binary youth to explore the wonder of living in nature. Campers are encouraged to take risks and discover new things, learning to build a fire, carve utensils, and appreciate the beauty of the night sky. Simple Living

Flying Cloud campers learn to work together as they gather and cut firewood for cooking and light and hand pump water to drink. Everyone takes turns cooking delicious food over an open fire.

Crafts and Music

Campers collect materials from nature to create handmade crafts to take home. Most of our campers come away from camp having whittled some flatware! Music frequently enlivens camp with spontaneous jam sessions with drums, fiddles, guitars, and more!

Games

Frisbee golf, Sticks, Kingdoms and Battle Blanket may seem unfathomable at first, but soon campers quickly learn these high-energy, non-competitive games. Fun and games are always a part of camp life!

Trips and Adventures

Flying Cloud campers swim in nearby Lake Ninevah, hike on the Catamount, Appalachian and Long Trail systems as well as other adventures! All campers participate in day and extended, overnight trips, enjoying simple living in the great outdoors.
