Canaan is a non-profit organization based in South Carolina, helping families in York County and beyond. We are dedicated to providing quality, safe programs for children and families. Our summer camps, retreats, and adventures enable kids to experience new activities and have fun in a safe environment. We also offer scholarships for children to attend our summer camp, so financial relief is available for families who need it. Our staff and volunteers use a loving, hands-on approach to ensure each guest has an experience that lasts a lifetime.
Our Junior Day Camp Program is a great way to introduce your kids to Life on the Island. This program is for campers ages 5-8 who love to be outside. This year Junior Day Camp is all about fun! Junior Day has the opportunity to experience our Catawba Tower climbing wall, nature walks (or bigfoot hunts), Music Fun Time, Arts and Crafts, and so much more. Each week, there is a theme with characters and a storyline that we need Junior Day Camp to help us carry on! In Junior Day, your campers are able to develop close relationships with their counselors through small groups in age-specific categories to allow a more comfortable and safe environment to grow in Christ, in relationships with others and to just have fun! We are incredibly excited about this upcoming summer and can’t wait to have your campers here with us!

RESIDENT CAMP
Our fantastic overnight summer camps on The Island in Rock Hill, SC include a week of adventure, personal challenge, making new friends, building personal strength and spiritual connection. Our famous traditions of cabin-cleanup competitions, boating on Lake Wylie, vespers and campfires make memories to last a lifetime.
Attending sleepaway summer camp can be a transformative experience for your child. Spending a week living and learning with others instills campers with character, success, citizenship and faith. Every camper will have stories and experiences to share from their many adventures and activities, so don’t be surprised if your kiddo returns home a little more grown-up, thoughtful and brave!
