Our 300+ acres of diverse habitats and 7 miles of hiking trails provide a unique opportunity for everyone to explore and observe the beauty of nature. At the Norman Bird Sanctuary, we have a variety of activities that are designed to educate and entertain. After School Program
NBS’ after school programs provide a way for students to actively participate in nature-based crafts, games, stories, and animal presentations. Seeing the same students each week creates a structured environment of team building after the school day is done. Through our themed, age-appropriate programs, we hope to cultivate an interest in the natural world in our students.

Scout Program
Norman bird Sanctuary offers exciting programs designed to help girl and boy scouts complete badges and other goals. Our 300+ acre classroom provides the perfect venue for your troop’s investigation of the natural world. With haws and chickens, our live animal collection is also a strong complement to any scouting program. We also offer exciting overnight adventure programs for scout groups!

Field Trip
NBS offers Field Trip programs appropriate for our youngest Preschoolers through advanced High School students. We offer these programs in two locations, our main location a well as our Third Beach location.
