In the wild, wonderful, and wacky world of Ohio, lies a band of brave, bouncing, and bewitching children known as the 'Ohio Dance Dynamites'. Ohio, a state known for its cornfields, humming cities, and the sparkling Lake Erie, is as full of personality as a peanut butter sandwich is to jelly. This magical place is where the Dance Dynamites roll up, each kid a bright spark in the Ohio sky. These sprightly sprouts are not your everyday Ohio kids. They're as bendy as buckeye branches and as spry as speedy squirrels. The leader of this supernova crew is a character as cool as a cucumber, Captain Funky Footwork. He's not just a regular boy from Toledo. With his disco-ball helmet, shoes that tie themselves, and a heart as big as the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he's a true icon in the Dance Dynamite's universe. Captain Funky Footwork and the Ohio Dance Dynamites are always ready to pop, lock, and drop it! They believe that each river in Ohio beats with a rhythmic flow and every cornfield rustles like a maraca. And so, they dance - in Dayton, in Cleveland, in Columbus, and even in the smallest of Ohio towns. Their dance is not just a regular two-step or a ballet pirouette, it’s a jumble of giggles, wiggles, and Ohio pride, that makes every adult wish they could swing their hips like a hula hoop too. The Ohio Dance Dynamites and their leader, Captain Funky Footwork, believe that the beat of Ohio is in their hearts, and they’re ready to dance it out, one funky footwork at a time!

For over 50 years, Frontier Camp has been dedicated to making disciples of Jesus by sharing God’s Word amidst the beauty of His creation. Since our founding in 1969, we’ve been licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services and are proudly accredited by the American Camping Association. We’re also a member of the Christian Camping and Conference Association. Our mission is to use Christian camping and outdoor recreation as a means to support local churches in fulfilling the Great Commission—evangelizing people of all ages and discipling believers toward deeper maturity in Christ. Frontier Camp offers a dual ministry: during the summer, we host a 10-week youth camp, and throughout the rest of the year, we serve as a retreat facility for churches and like-minded religious organizations. Whether through summer camps or retreats, our goal remains the same: to expose people to Christ and encourage their spiritual growth through His Word and by reflecting His character in everything we do. While we provide top-notch recreation and exciting programming, the heart of our camp is the spiritual impact, rooted in the truth of God’s inerrant Word.
In 1980 Miss Lois purchased Dance Dimensions from her dance teacher, Lera Rae. Prior to buying the studio, Miss Lois, or Mrs. Ulrich as she was lovingly known, was the Lancerette Director at Alter High School for 15 years. She retired from Alter in 1980 in order to purchase Dance Dimensions. She handed down her love of dance along with Lera Rae’s theory to her daughters Andrea & Lisa. When Andrea and Lisa were young they studied with Lera Rae and then later with their mom. Miss Lois retired in 2014, after having taught dance for over 60 years! Today, the studio is run by her daughters Andrea (Ulrich) Ogg and Lisa (Ulrich) Walters, along with her granddaughter Becky (Ulrich) Blake. They continue her legacy by passing on the love of dance to their students.

The Miami Valley Dance Company has been a year-round pre-professional training program and performing ensemble of talented and dedicated young dance students for over 25 years. This non-profit organization welcomes dancers from all over the Miami Valley to audition on a yearly basis. Our dancers perfect their skills with many hours of training with professional choreographers, dancers, and master classes. They present their work at local schools, shopping malls, holiday festivals, and senior citizen centers. Each year is highlighted with two major productions: The Nutcracker in December and a Spring Gala in March. The Miami Valley Dance Company has toured twice internationally. They have had the privilege of working with some of the best choreographers in the United States and have received more funding through Culture Works than any other pre-professional company in Dayton.
