Shane L04/02/20235For the past seven years, my children have attended camp Poko. They especially enjoy making ceramics and swimming in the pond. My daughter enjoys caring for the animals and going on horseback rides. My favorite aspect of camp is watching the kids form relationships with their new friends, counselors, and staff members that last for years.
Zeus M08/13/20225My child was just taken up after three weeks at Pok-O! I am very pleased with the new and improved child he has become. He has made some amazing friends and has a ton of memories that will likely last a lifetime. I sent him to socialize with other people, get some distance from electronics, and develop some independence. Twelve-year-old boy's first trip away from home. Cried the first night; he wasn't sure even after a week. After three weeks, he still wasn't prepared to return home.
Belinda T07/12/20225Pok-o is a genuinely exceptional and enlightening experience. In the 1980s and 1990s, I went with my siblings and cousins, and my daughter (7-year camper!) went with her cousins. We both spent the non-summer seasons eager to go back. Pok-o is the area where I felt most at one with nature and where I developed my independence while being exposed to novel situations and interesting people. Games and social activities that have been around for decades are offered to campers, many of which are quite creative and original.
