This monthly three- or four-week series offers hands-on experiences in nature for your preschooler. Every Tuesday or Thursday, we’ll meet up for a two-hour program packed with crafts, stories, games, and imaginative play. Rain, snow, or sunshine – we will happily go outside!  The themes for each month are listed below.

Preschool Mini Series for Children Ages 3 and 4 

These monthly series programs offer hands-on experiences in nature to supplement your science curriculum. Every Tuesday, we’ll meet up for a three-hour program packed with experiments, activities, and outdoor exploration. Rain, snow, or sunshine – we will happily go outside! Themed sessions are listed below.

Scientific Explorations for Children Ages 5 to 13 

This program is designed to focus on child-led learning through play and exploration with the guidance of a naturalist who knows the preserve and the skills to encourage discovery, inquiry, experimentation, and imagination. These monthly series run weekly on Thursday afternoons. Rain, snow, or sunshine – we will happily go outside! Themed sessions are listed below.

Thanks for arranging such a wonderful and unique Sweetheart event, Baltimore Woods Staff and Scratch Farmhouse Catering! We got to go home and eat the delectable 5-course meal cooked by Scratch Farmhouse Catering after a delightful snowshoe through the lighted woods with stops to appreciate poetry. Next year, my husband and I will return! I'm grateful. 😘
