Esmeralda W08/24/20215The Jewish motif at Marks JCH summer camp makes it the best in Brooklyn; other camps have tried to imitate it, but none have been able to match Marks JCH's level of organization, safety, or quality of trips. They have a ton of sports and arts activities to keep kids of all skill levels entertained. Every minute is planned for, every child is accounted for, and there is adequate staff on every trip to take care of children. The Israeli staff is amazing, and we adore the regular morning routine. We look forward to returning! I say "thumbs up"!
Spencer R05/01/20235I can tell you that spending this summer here—surprisingly not as a camper, but as a camp counselor for teenagers when I was in college—was one of the happiest summers of my life. Since I didn't grow up attending the JCH and hadn't been here before working as a counselor that one summer, I really got a good, unbiased perspective of this place.
Heidi M05/01/20235The 'J' is a lovely spot, in all honesty. This center provides services for people of all ages at various price points that can genuinely be described as life-changing. This center offers everything, including support for recent immigrants and elderly people who are in need of assistance, many children's carnivals and educational programs, programs for youths that foster leadership, self-esteem, and a sense of identity, and more. Along with many other things, it provides a fantastic after-school and preschool program, SAT/Tutoring classes, swimming, dance, and music lessons, as well as adult ESL classes.
