About West Essex Cheer Academy

At the West Essex Area Gym, we believe that every child can achieve their potential through positive guidance and superior instruction. We offer classes for athletes, cheerleaders and tumblers of all ages and abilities, as well as classes for preschool age children and competitive cheerleading. Our mission is to develop enriched adults, and we strive to provide a positive atmosphere where kids can learn the value of teamwork and build their physical health. Founded by a mom and professional cheerleading coach, our gym was created to meet the needs of the athletes in the West Essex Area. We are committed to helping our kids reach their goals and build lasting skills for success.

All Star Elite
The All-Star program is a full-year travel competitive cheerleading program for the dedicated cheerleader, ages 6 and up. Athlete evaluations are necessary for team placement.

All Star Prep
This program is designed to give more athletes, ages 6 to 18, the chance to experience and participate in competitive cheerleading. This is great for athletes with prior athletic commitments, such as high school or recreational competitive cheer. The Prep program was created for those dedicated athletes and families who would prefer less of a time commitment, lower cost and would like to compete locally. ​​

All Star FUNdamentals
All-Star FUNdamentals is a great opportunity to introduce your child to the sport of cheer. Athletes in FUNdamentals will learn the basics of arm motions, tumbling, and stunting. All-Star FUNdamentals requires less commitment than our Elite and Prep programs with 8 week sessions, progressing throughout the year in a set curriculum, the perfect way to try cheer.
