Parents Magazine style: The Hive Dance Studio opened its doors in 2017, becoming New Jersey’s first all-urban dance studio. The Hive was created to provide a safe, welcoming environment for the New Jersey dance community and to bring dancers together under one roof. Today, over 500 dancers come to The Hive to learn from the best teachers in the New Jersey and New York area. The Hive offers an extensive curriculum and various programs, allowing dancers to leave with a unique and unparalleled experience. The Hive Dance Studio prides itself on its commitment to the New Jersey dance community. With its expansive range of classes and programs, dancers are sure to find the perfect fit for them. The Hive is home to some of the best teachers in the area, providing a supportive and inclusive environment to its students. The Hive Dance Studio has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 2017. Into the Swim classes are customized to the needs and pace of every student. When you call our office we will ask you to describe the student's swimming skill level. The student will be placed according to your description and in a time slot that is convenient for you. Our small class size allows the students plenty of individual instruction while still participating in a group atmosphere which tends to relax students. Each class is well-matched so that every student will need similar instruction throughout the class period. The director on duty will monitor and make updates on the student's progress throughout the quarter.

Jennie O’Hara is a working mom and loving wife. In school she showed great potential in the arts, but never pursued the attraction. After high school she worked 25 yrs in customer service management and the allure of change was always enticing her. In 2013 while on vacation she rekindled her love of art after visiting the Myrtle Beach Wine & Design location.The appeal was so attractive she started to research the franchise and was convinced that it was time for a major career change. On January 25, 2014 she celebrated the birth of New Jersey’s first Wine & Design location in Rahway. This new adventure has allowed her to have the flexibility and creativity she’s always wanted in a career. Not to mention the ability to spend quality time with her family. Her new path has opened many possibilities and new friendships. She is very excited about the continued growth that is in store for her location.

From the time I was a young child, I have been passionate about music. I have been playing the piano and guitar professionally and recreationally for the last 25 years. As my passion for music grew, so did my commitment to sharing it with others. I am now a Certified Musical Instructor with over 15 years of experience teaching music to students of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities. My youngest student is 3 years old, and I am excited to continue my teaching career for many years to come.

Private and group lessons by world renowned musicians and educators Reut Regev and Igal Foni. Lessons are available at our studio in Rahway, at your home or office and online.

Dance Starz Academy of NJ is owned and operated by Amy Panza-Fabian, who has been educating children in dance and tumbling for over 20 years. She is certified through Dance Educators of America and the academy is accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Mrs. Amy’s students have achieved great success, performing in national tours, regional theatres, professional ballet companies and college dance teams. They have gone on to study at prestigious institutions such as the American School of Ballet in New York, Alvin Ailey and Broadway Dance Center. At Dance Starz Academy, not only do the children learn a variety of dance styles, they also learn discipline, technique, and gain knowledge in each class. The academy is proud to be a national champion every year since opening and the students have won numerous awards, including having the highest scoring dances of a competition! With the expertise of Mrs. Amy, the students have achieved great success and the academy strives to continue to foster an environment of discipline, technique growth and knowledge.

Liz LeBar, owner and director of Dancin’ In The Spotlight, has been teaching dance for the past 35 years – and this year marks her 19th season with the studio. Through her guidance and training, many of her dancers have gone on to have successful careers in dance, from Radio City Rockettes to national tours and cruise ships. She is passionate about providing her faculty with the training and resources they need to prepare their students for the professional dance world, as well as creating a fun and engaging atmosphere for them to learn in. For the past 18 years, Liz LeBar has offered dancers of all ages the opportunity to learn and grow in their art form. She has seen much success from her students, with many of them becoming Radio City Rockettes, dancers on national tours, and dancers in other professional fields. As a long-time dance teacher, she is committed to providing her faculty with the tools they need to prepare their dancers for the real world of dance, all while keeping a positive and fun learning environment. Liz LeBar has been teaching dance for 35 years and has been the owner and director of Dancin’ In The Spotlight for 18 of those years. In that time, she has seen countless students reach their goals and become professional dancers in many areas, from Radio City Rockettes to national tours and cruise ships. Her priority is making sure each and every dancer has an enjoyable and enriching experience while learning the skills they need to be successful. She continues to provide her faculty with the resources they need to prepare their students for the professional dance world.

At RDT, we believe that every student deserves equal opportunity to succeed in dance. We offer a wide range of classes in multiple dance styles that enable our students to express themselves and to develop their physical and cognitive skills. We recognize the importance of professional training and our students have earned admission to programs such as Dance Theatre of Harlem, Alvin Ailey, and Earl Mosley’s Institute of the Arts. Furthermore, our graduates have been accepted to prestigious BFA programs such as Fordham, UArts, Montclair, and Rutgers. At RDT, we are proud to see our students pursue their dreams and make an impact on the dance world. Our dancers have gone on to perform in professional companies, NBA teams, music videos, international tours, and have even launched their own companies. We strive to provide our students with the tools and resources they need to succeed and make a lasting impression in the dance industry.

UCPAC has earned a reputation as the "Crown Jewel" of Union County's performing arts scene. Families can enjoy a wide variety of performances, from rock concerts to theatrical productions. UCPAC is also a multipurpose community center, offering five-star rental services for corporate events, nonprofits, and private occasions. Plus, UCPAC is the proud home of New Jersey's only classic movie palace. UCPAC is managed by a Board of Trustees and is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit historic theatre serving both Union County and the state of New Jersey. By providing the community with a wide selection of entertainment options, UCPAC continues to be a vibrant part of the Union County cultural landscape.
