Led by their fearless leader, Captain Colorific, a sprightly little fellow who wears a paint-splattered cape and a hat with a rainbow plume, these kids know how to have fun with colors. With paintbrushes that twirl like magic wands, they create a riot of colors that could make a rainbow look pale! They can turn a boring, blank canvas into a sprawling jungle teeming with fluorescent flamingos, polka-dotted panthers, and turtles wearing top hats. Their favorite game is 'Guess the Goo,' where they close their eyes, dip their hands in paint, and guess the color by its feel. And let's not forget the epic paint fights that end with everyone looking like a walking, giggling abstract art masterpiece. Don't even ask about the time they tried to paint Captain Colorific's pet chameleon, Chroma - let's just say he ended up as the most colourful creature in all of New Jersey! One of the highlights of our property is the Alappat Atelier, an incredible art studio where the celebrated artist Sebastian Alappat works. This is a place where creativity comes alive and children are always thrilled to step into this vibrant space. From massive fossilized dinosaur pieces to an entire section dedicated to Alice in Wonderland, and a fantastic collection of comic book art, there's plenty to ignite their imagination. The studio is well-equipped with all the necessary art supplies, spacious tables, and abundant natural light, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. We understand that comfort is essential for both kids and parents. That is why we've ensured that our facilities include a separate waiting area for parents, offering a space for you to relax while your child is busy exploring their creativity. For added convenience, there are also two restrooms on the premises and a picturesque outdoor sitting area where you can soak up the serene surroundings.
Jennie O’Hara is a working mom and loving wife. In school she showed great potential in the arts, but never pursued the attraction. After high school she worked 25 yrs in customer service management and the allure of change was always enticing her. In 2013 while on vacation she rekindled her love of art after visiting the Myrtle Beach Wine & Design location.The appeal was so attractive she started to research the franchise and was convinced that it was time for a major career change. On January 25, 2014 she celebrated the birth of New Jersey’s first Wine & Design location in Rahway. This new adventure has allowed her to have the flexibility and creativity she’s always wanted in a career. Not to mention the ability to spend quality time with her family. Her new path has opened many possibilities and new friendships. She is very excited about the continued growth that is in store for her location.
