Dancing Studio

Act one studios is currently CO-owned and operated by head director, Trisha Urdaz AND Alyson Daleo. The studio was established in 1987 by patricia finn, who is trisha's aunt.  the studio was originally located in ridgefield park, nj before finding it's permanent home in hasbrouck heights, nj.  for more than 25 years the act one Faculty has educated students of all ages in the art of dance.  Our Studio prides itself not in only teaching dance fundamentals but also instilling discipline and self-confidence.  in each of our young people.  Act One Studios provides a family oriented environment, which offers support, sound dance knowledge, and encouragement to each and every one of our students.

The BallET Class will impart the fundamentals of classical ballet.  Each Class will focus on ballet technique, proper body alignment, classical terminology and musicality. Students will be introduced to barre and center work.  Students are introduced to port de bras, grand jetes, pirouettes, chaine turns, and small and large jumps.



Ballet

The Lyrical Class combines techniques and skills from ballet, jazz and modern. Students will also explore how lyrical dance emphasizes interpretation of music lyrics to tell a story with movement that can be fluid or abstract.



Lyrical

The jazz class will focus on learning proper jazz technique.  The Class curriculum is based on ballet technique layered with traditional jazz movement and includes a warm-up, stretches, isolations, floor work, across-the-floor progressions, and combinations.

Act One Dance Studios Inc

The best teachers are in Act One! They work so well with dancers of all ages and have such talent. They have a diverse range of dance abilities. For everybody who has the opportunity to use it, Act One Studio is like a second home.

Act One has been the home of my daughters for more than 5 years. It's a fantastic studio for both gymnastics and dance. The annual recital is our favorite event. It's always a great show thanks to Miss Patty, Miss Tricia, and the rest!
