About Springdale Montessori Preschool
At Springdale Montessori, we offer a unique learning experience for children aged 15 months to 6 years. Our teachers tailor their instruction to suit each student’s individual needs, allowing them to reach their full potential. We provide a rich and stimulating environment that encourages creativity, curiosity, and exploration. Our Montessori-inspired curriculum emphasizes the development of self-awareness, academic skills, empathy, and confidence.
We believe that children should be encouraged to explore their interests and develop their own problem-solving abilities. We strive to create an atmosphere that supports open communication and encourages collaboration. Our teachers provide guidance and support to help children learn to work independently as well as in groups. We also equip our students with the skills and knowledge necessary for lifelong success, such as self-discipline, time management, and decision-making.

Toddlers ( 15 month)
In the toddler program your child will start from the very basics of recognizing and naming colors, numbers, and the alphabet. As your child begins to grow in the Montessori environment, they will begin to learn how to become independent. Being independent allows them to explore new and exciting things, and will help them to relate to others and make their own choices. Our teachers focus on the academic skills essential to a child’s growth as well as practical skills. Your child will come home learning how to eat and drink by themselves, hold a pencil in helping them to write on their own, put on their own jacket and so much more.
Pre Primary ( 2.5 years)
Our Pre-Primary classroom further extends your child’s self-help skills, responsibility, and independence. In this classroom children will develop a sense of routine and organization. At this stage a child will be tracing letters and numbers and know all letter sounds. In addition, Best preschool in Edison children will be able to read phonetic words, spell and write their name, and learn two dimensional shapes. As the weather changes, children will also learn how to Velcro, snap buttons, and zip their jacket. The child’s language capabilities will grow tremendously in this classroom. They will be able to follow two step directions and ask any question they can think of!
Kindergarten ( 5 years)
Our Kindergarten program encompasses both Montessori curriculum as well as New Jersey State Standards. The Montessori Kindergarten curriculum exceeds the State Standards. Kindergarten students learn skip counting, greater than, and less than, word families, life cycles, and all about the world we live in. Because our curriculum is more advanced, we also include a small portion of first grade curriculum. A proper assessment and certificate will be given to the child as proof for the public-school system. Our Kindergarten program has been successful since we opened in 2016.
