When adults come to an art class, we find the main obstacle to producing meaningful art is self imposed doubt. Whereas, in children's art classes, fears and doubts don't even exist. Children marvel at play with the colors, shapes, and processes available to them. This zest for creating and persistent curiosity is an essential training for all artists, amateur or professional. Only when we are free to let creation flow through us, can we actually be “truthful” in our art. Once you know what you want to create, the next part of the journey is honing our skills and techniques. This takes time, dedication, and practice. We offer classes for both kids and adults to help you achieve the skills and inspiration to make your art come alive!
Even in today's stimulus soaked world, are your kids feeling bored or restless? Looking for a rewarding, inspirational, and fun outlet? THE POWER OF ART Ages 10 - 17
Children will be encouraged to express feelings through art. Drawing, sculpting, painting, plus collages, paper mache, and mixed media art will be explored with individualized attention geared towards each student's individual needs and abilities. We aim to provide a nonjudgmental space where kids feel comfortable speaking expressively and authentically about their art work. These small classes are suitable for those with Learning Disabilities, ADHD, High Functioning Autism, or Shyness. Artistic expression helps to build confidence and calms the mind, bringing more clarity, thereby improving an overall sense of well being.
