Established in 1966, Oneida’s Dance Studio is the first Latin American dance school in Hudson County, New Jersey and is run by Master Teacher and Choreographer Mrs. Oneida Quevedo de Cueto and Artistic Director Mrs. Sonia Grimaldi Ferrera. Students of all ages and abilities can take a range of classes, from Ballet to Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Lyrical, Contemporary, Spanish dance, Flamenco, Musical Theatre, Salsa, Hip-Hop and Tango, and can choose from beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. Oneida’s Dance Studio is proud to be a lifetime member of Dance Educators of America, Dance Masters of America, Associated Dance Teachers of New Jersey and Professional Dance Teachers Association. This ensures that students are given the opportunity to participate in a variety of dance concerts, recitals, competitions, parades and special presentations throughout the year. The Medallion Testing Program through Dance Educators of America also allows students to complete their ballet studies through a series of ballet exams, giving them the potential to reach higher levels of dance education such as college and dance companies. Guttenberg Arts provides practicing artists with the space and time to develop their work and expand their practice through community engagement and promotion to curators, collectors, and print and digital media. The multi-disciplinary 4,500 sq. ft. artist studio was founded in 2014 in Guttenberg, NJ, and is equipped for printmaking, glassblowing, sculpture and ceramics. Guttenberg Arts hosts artist residencies, exhibitions, free and subsidized art classes, demonstrations, workshops, as well as a community garden program, community events and discounted facility rentals. The six pillar programs of Guttenberg Arts: Space and Time Artist Residency, Laboratorio, Exhibitions, Out of their Heads, Guttenhigh and Guttengarden have grown out of the feedback and direct engagement with regional artists and area residents. Implemented together, the overall programing solidifies a common point of reference for a creative view of the world and a better quality of life.
