About Curtain Up Studios

At Curtain Up Studios, our mission is to introduce and nurture the love of theatre arts to our students. We hold our productions to a high standard, but we value the experience our students have even more. We see a production as a team effort, and each part and position is important to the success of the show. We offer various programming and classes, from ages 5-18, for all levels of experience. Our classes, workshops, and private lessons are offered every season. We also produce full-scale productions 2-3 times a year for our more experienced performers. We collaborate with public and private schools in Bergen and Passaic Counties to bring arts programming and productions to their schools. We work with administrators to create, develop, and implement arts programming tailored to each school’s individual needs. At Curtain Up Studios, our goal is to foster a love of theatre arts in our students. We strive to provide an enjoyable, positive, and educational experience for everyone who joins us, whether they’re taking part on stage or behind the scenes. We consider each part of the production to be equally important, and we work hard to ensure the success of our shows.

IN-School PROGRAMMING

Whether your school’s theatre program needs a revamp or to start from scratch, we can work with your Principal or HSA/PTO and help manage and produce a fabulous production, workshop or theatre class. We work with grades K to 12 and create a program that is just right for you school and students. Curtain Up Studios can direct and choreograph full main stage productions and team up with your parents, or we can help with additional aspects such as costumes, set and props.

WORKSHOPS Ages 6-15

Curtain Up Studios’ Workshops are a fun way for the new performer to experience acting, dancing and singing in a musical! Over an 8-week period, your child will be assigned roles, memorize lines, blocking, choreography and songs, culminating in a casual performance.

Curtain Up Studios’ Musical Theatre Summer Camps are a great way for performers of all ages to experience acting, dancing and singing in a musical! Over a one-week period, your child will be assigned roles, memorize lines, blocking, choreography and songs, culminating in a casual performance.
