Dancing Studio

For over 65 years, The Yvette Dance Studio of Performing Arts has been an anchor in the Cranford community, offering dance classes to both children and adults. Over the years, our students have gone on to dance in some of the most prestigious venues, like Las Vegas, Broadway, and the New York Ballet.

At The Yvette Dance Studio, we believe in teaching proper technique and fundamentals that will allow our students to learn to dance, rather than learn a dance. Every year we invite parents, relatives, and friends to join us for our annual demonstration, where they can watch their children perform in a public school auditorium, free of charge. 

We are proud to have been a part of the community for so long and to have been able to help our students achieve their dreams of becoming professional dancers. We look forward to many more years of bringing the joy of dance to the Cranford area.

Dance

Inexpensive

A combination of pre-ballet, songs and tap dancing designed to develop rhythm, coordination, learning techniques, grace and limberness which are so vitally important to future study.  



KINDERGARTEN

Beginner, intermediate and advanced at various levels include more advanced barre and center work stressing use of head, arms, body line and placement. Pointe (toe) work added when sufficient strength and skill in ballet is developed. Character work included in all ballet classes.



BALLET

A program designed as an introduction to dance. The class incorporates rhythm, movement, coordination, musicality, and tumbling along with basics of dance. The session is 8 weeks with the class being 45 minutes in length. Children may wear leotards and tights, ballet slippers, and must be potty trained. At the end of the session, all parents and relatives are invited to come watch the last class to see what the children have learned. The sessions continue from September through June with each one having different class work.

The Yvette Dance Studio

The existence of the Yvette Dance studio for so many years has a purpose. It's not about body kinds, recitals, competitiveness, or the volume of tickets sold. It's a dancing school where the emphasis is on the pupils. My daughter has developed her dance expertise here (with a focus on ballet) and has received strong instruction in all areas of dance from leading professionals in the field.
