LionWhale Music was founded in 2006 by three music aficionados: Jennifer Hummler, Jim Green, and Steven Bowen. All three met while studying music at Monmouth University at the beginning of the 21st century. After graduating, they were alarmed to discover that the quality of music education offered by many teachers was drastically inadequate. Many studios didn't require their teachers to have any specialized training in music. That’s when Jen, Jim, and Steve had an idea—to bring together the highest quality music teachers they could find and raise the bar for music education, beginning in New Jersey. The trio was determined to do something to make sure that all students have access to the best music education possible. Through their enterprise, LionWhale Music, Jennifer Hummler, Jim Green, and Steven Bowen have been successfully working for more than a decade to improve music education across New Jersey and beyond. They have provided countless students with quality, comprehensive music education, and their efforts have helped open doors for young musicians everywhere.
