About Birchmont: A Pierce Camp

This is the perfect opportunity for your child to begin the transition to independence and explore new experiences outside of the home. Camp Birchmont provides a safe, supportive environment away from home, allowing children to grow and develop without worry. Our staff are committed to helping campers develop new skills and friendships while having a great time. Through a range of activities and programs, Camp Birchmont helps campers practice self-reliance and decision-making skills, as well as learning to work together as part of a team. We believe in providing a fun, safe place for children to experience new adventures and explore their interests. Our campers return home with a new sense of independence and a stronger connection with their peers.

Archery

Campers of all ages can choose to participate in our accredited program. We start with the basic concept of “safety first” and by utilizing age & size appropriate equipment, ensure that all of our campers meet with success! Our archery pavilion provides individual shooting platforms for safety and protection from the sun or rain. As we say at camp; “May your aim be true…”

Boating

Sailing A fleet of sailboats enables our campers to learn the fundamentals of sailing, while enjoying the expanse of beautiful Lake Wentworth. Waterskiing We have 4 specially designed ski boats, including two world class competition boats. In addition to skiing, we offer tubing, wake boarding, and skurfing just for the fun of it!

Fishing

The ever popular Fishing Club occurs nightly. Greg Pierce along with other veteran staff guide interested campers out onto the lake in our own fishing boats and teach them the art of fishing; baiting their own hooks and releasing all of the fish we catch without harm. We teach them about the different species of fish, smallmouth bass, bluegill, perch and trout that thrive in our Class “A” Lake Wentworth.
