Dear Families, Welcome to the wonderful world of Swift Nature Camp an overnight camp for boys and girls ages 6-15 located in the beautiful Northwoods of Wisconsin. I’m Lonnie, the Camp Director, and I’m thrilled to share what makes SNC such a special place for kids and families alike. For nearly 30 years, our mission has been to create an environment where children can grow, discover, and make lifelong memories. Here at camp, we focus on friendship, personal development, and a deep connection to nature—all in a fun, supportive, and adventurous setting. All this without cell phones One of the things that sets Swift Nature Camp apart is our focus on fostering independence and confidence. Whether it’s trying a new activity like canoeing, taking on a leadership role in a group project, or simply navigating life away from home, camp provides endless opportunities for personal growth. We celebrate each camper’s unique personality and encourage them to step outside their comfort zone in a safe and nurturing way. Seeing kids gain new skills and pride in their accomplishments is one of the most rewarding parts of what we do. For our youngest campers, Discovery Camp is an especially magical experience. Designed only for first-time campers ages 6-12, this shorter program gives kids a chance to experience the joys of camp life in a way that’s just right for them. It’s amazing to watch these kids try new things—from learning about the natural world to singing campfire songs—and leave camp with big smiles and even bigger stories to tell. Discovery Camp is often the beginning of a long and cherished relationship with SNC, and we’re so proud to see those first-time campers grow into confident and capable young people. Another cornerstone of Swift Nature Camp is our connection to the environment. We believe that nature isn’t just a backdrop for camp; it’s a teacher, a playground, and a source of endless wonder. Through hands-on activities like pond studies, wildlife observation, and outdoor adventures, campers develop an appreciation for the natural world that stays with them long after camp ends. The Camp Zoo is always a favorite, campers can even adopt a pet while at camp.Our goal is to inspire kids to become curious, mindful stewards of the environment. At Swift Nature Camp, there’s never a dull day! With hundreds of land and water activities, campers are always engaged and excited. On land, some favorites include the Lego Cabin, Arts & Crafts, Archery, and exploring the Nature Center. On the water, campers learn Canoeing, Fishing, and Swimming, but the absolute favorites are Tubing behind the boat and jumping off the Water Trampoline. Never is there a dull day because every day is packed with fun, adventure, and opportunities to try something new. Of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing friendships that form here. SNC is a place where kids truly feel like they belong. Campers and counselors alike bring warmth, kindness, and enthusiasm to everything we do, creating a strong sense of community. Whether it’s cheering each other on during a game, collaborating on a creative project, or sharing laughs around the campfire, the bonds formed at Swift Nature Camp are something truly special. Empowering Campers. Since 1976, ADA Camp Carefree has served over 4,000 campers ages 7-16, providing diabetes education and support. Campers are encouraged to take on new challenges, discover new interests, and most importantly, have fun. Our experienced staff will help campers gain the skills and confidence needed to manage their diabetes and take control of their own health. Campers will gain the knowledge and skills to make healthy choices and be empowered to take ownership of their diabetes. Creating Community. Camp Carefree provides a supportive, safe, and fun environment where campers can really be themselves. Our two-week summer program brings campers together to form a community of friendship and support. With the help of our highly-trained medical and program staff, campers are empowered to be their own advocates and develop healthy habits that will last them a lifetime.

For nearly a century, the William Lawrence Camp has been providing youth with healthy outdoor recreational opportunities. Founded in the early 1900s, the camp was named after William Lawrence, an early advocate of camping. For many years, the camp had a strong relationship with the Episcopal Church. Families often learned of the camp through their local parishes, and during the summer, visiting clergy offered Sunday services in the outdoor chapel. Through the years, the camp has continued to promote the importance of shared values and ideals. In the late sixties, the camp ended its association with the church, but has continued to embrace this same core philosophy. Today, the William Lawrence Camp offers a variety of activities and is a place for youth to have fun and form lasting memories. It is a testament to William Lawrence’s commitment to providing healthy opportunities for young people and his belief in the importance of commonly shared values and ideals.

At Camp Bernadette, Camp Fatima, and Exceptional Citizens Week campers will have the opportunity to engage in a variety of activities that foster active and creative play. Swimming, hiking, arts and crafts, and team-building activities are just a few of the many activities available. These activities are designed to create a sense of belonging and camaraderie among campers and staff. We believe that the camping experience should be joyful and filled with meaningful memories. Welcome to Camp Tevya, a spirited Jewish overnight camp! Our mission is to enrich children's lives with FUN, forever-friendships and confidence, through caring, positive role models, and Jewish values. Situated on the shores of Lake Potanipo in southern New Hampshire, Tevya offers a classic New England summer, full of energy, sports and activities from waterskiing to tennis to soccer to talent shows. Our counselors encourage our campers to take chances, to try new things, and to experience the satisfaction of accomplishment every day. Campers discover the joy of a large, lively community that lives deeply connected to Israel and our shared Jewish heritage and values. Founded in 1940, Tevya welcomes campers from throughout the Northeast, including both new friends and many children of alumni. Camp Tevya is one of three overnight camps in the Cohen Camps family: its siblings are the smaller, nut-free Tel Noar and the all-girls Pembroke. Each Cohen Camp shines with its own personality, while connected by a common vision and three generations of leadership. As part of the Cohen Camps, our mission is to enrich children’s lives by encouraging Jewish youth to be comfortable and confident in themselves so that they can connect positively with others and the world they live in. They are a community of positive role models who help the youth explore their Jewish identity and experience the joy of their Jewish heritage. The campers and counselors leave camp determined to sustain Judaism and the Jewish People and are committed to contributing responsibly to their world.

Camp Tasker, located in Newton, New Hampshire, has been providing amazing experiences to children since 1919. This summer, for the first time, hundreds of girls will be joining in on the fun! From swimming in the Country Pond or the new, huge pool, to boating, fishing, and sports like soccer, baseball/softball, and tennis, there is something for everyone. The staff at Camp Tasker are dedicated to providing each camper with positive memories, learning opportunities, and the chance to make new friends. Each group of campers will be provided with a camp director, recreation hall, and cabins to ensure their safety and comfort. It is sure to be an experience that will last a lifetime!

The Carroll County YMCA is dedicated to helping young people reach their potential. Our camp has grown and changed over the years, but our mission to strengthen the spirit, mind, and body of youth, families, and communities remains the same. We strive to create an open, respectful, and caring environment, and to foster the development of leadership skills in campers. We are proud to have a number of staff and program specialists who started as campers and worked their way up to become counselors.
