About The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill

At the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, we strive to foster a connection between people and the land in order to conserve our region’s farming heritage. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for the public to explore and learn about agriculture, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. We offer a variety of programs for all ages, including garden plots, school field trips, summer camps, agricultural fairs, birthday parties, and more. We also serve as a trailhead for hikers, horseback riders, runners, and other outdoor enthusiasts. Located on 35 acres of public land leased from the Town of Bedford, N.H., the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill is open to the public every day. The Educational Farm at Joppa Hill is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserving our region’s farming heritage. We strive to create meaningful experiences that allow individuals and families to explore and learn about agricultural practices, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. We believe that by connecting people with the land, we can make a lasting impact on our community and beyond.

Field trips

We offer interactive educational farm tours. From barnyard animals to environmental science, field trips are appropriate for all ages and can be customized to integrate your classroom curriculum, New Hampshire education standards, and desired learner outcomes.

Fitness Fusion at the Farm

Take a break while your kiddo gets to have some fun at Ms. Karla’s "Fitness Fusion", a high energy and fun filled class that will keep kids moving and working up a sweat. We will do a variety of obstacle courses, relay races, fitness exercises, parachute games, acting, hip hop, yoga fun and more! Classes will take place outside at Joppa Hill Educational Farm at 174 Joppa Hill Road Bedford, NH 03110.

Walk a Goat

Bring the family to take one of our goats for a walk in the farm yard. Lavender and Rosemary are Nigerian Dwarf Goats that are perfect for a family walk, as long as you bring your muscles, as these girls are strong! Enjoy an hour in the farm yard with your goat and enjoy their playful and sometimes stubborn way!
