Camp Allen has been serving campers since 1931, when it was founded by the Boston Lions Club and the Manchester Lions Club as a retreat for young girls who were blind. Over the years the mission has expanded to include individuals of all ages and abilities. Today, more than 600 campers attend Camp Allen each summer, for one, two or multiple weeks.
At the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill, we strive to foster a connection between people and the land in order to conserve our region’s farming heritage. Our mission is to create meaningful opportunities for the public to explore and learn about agriculture, environmental stewardship, and sustainability. Located on 35 acres of public land leased from the Town of Bedford, N.H., the Educational Farm at Joppa Hill is open to the public every day.
