About YMCA Camp Kitaki

Our campers enjoy a wide range of activities which allow them to develop confidence in the outdoors. From swimming and boating to archery and fishing, there is something for everyone. All activities are supervised by YMCA-trained professionals who help facilitate a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. YMCA Camp Kitaki offers more than just fun activities. Our campers also have the opportunity to get to know themselves better and develop meaningful relationships with their peers. We strive to promote positive identity, relationships, values, and skills in our campers through activities, group discussions, and mentoring. We believe in the power of the overnight camp experience and the potential it has to help campers grow and learn. We are dedicated to creating a positive and supportive environment for campers, parents, and alumni to be a part of.

Adventure Mini Camp
The perfect way to "try us out" or fit Camp Kitaki into your busy summer! You choose Sunday through Wednesday, or Wednesday through Saturday. Be prepared for a schedule packed with structured age-appropriate, traditional camp activities and staff specially trained for your child's age group to create a great camp experience.

Ranch Camp
Tucked away in our authentic Western Town, Ranch Camp offers a complete horsemanship experience through instruction, time in the saddle, and the responsibility of caring for a horse of one's own. Half the day is spent riding, feeding, grooming, and other equestrian activities. During the other half ranch campers take advantage of many typical Kitaki activities. Our well-trained, safety conscious wranglers provide riding instruction through exercises and fun games in our arena, as well as trail rides through Kitaki's beautiful forest.

Ranger Camp
 The program offers a more rugged experience with opportunities for more in-depth development of outdoor living skills. Ranger campers participate in some traditional Kitaki activities, but function as their own community, working together on various outdoor living skills during the week including food preparation and cooking over a campfire; orienteering; fire-building; basic survival skills and safety; minimum-impact camping; and team building.
