At the Monroe Self Defense Academy, we believe that your mental and physical well-being are both equally important. That’s why we offer a variety of courses that focus on both areas. Our courses are designed to help you develop the confidence and skills it takes to overcome any situation. We also have courses that focus on mental health issues, such as depression, anxiety, and thoughts of suicide. 

At the Monroe Self Defense Academy, we strive to provide our adults and children with the skills and confidence they need to become better situational operators. With the high levels of violence and criminal activities in today’s world, it’s more important than ever to have the tools to stay safe. We provide our students with the knowledge and techniques to get home safely, no matter the situation. 

We don’t believe in catering to fear. Instead, we focus on developing the confidence and skills it takes to handle any situation with grace and poise, no matter how intimidating or dangerous it may be. We provide our students with the knowledge and tools they need to stay safe and healthy, both mentally and physically.

The Lil’ Dragons program is a detailed 30 minute curriculum that focuses on preschool-age, 4-7 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, from 5:45-6:15 pm. This class will help develop your child’s basic motor and listening skills. These skills will help them enter society with a more confident and enthusiastic outlook. They will become better students at school, better listeners at home and more ambitious towards the future. Scenarios we review can vary from stranger danger, bullies, and even active shooters drills.



LITTLE DRAGONS COURSE

Do you want to get your child off technology? Would you like your family to be more active? Then this 1 hr long class is the way to go. This class is on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:15-7:15 pm. Krav Maga can help with focus, discipline, and one’s ability to following instructions.



INTERMEDIATE/ FAMILY COURSE

This course is for teens, young adults, and adults who like a challenge. This class is Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 7:15-8:15 pm. In the advance class we expand on the training. Fear does not exist in this dojo and definitely not in this class.

My children adore practicing martial arts here. It's enjoyable, the sensei does an effective job of training and instructing, it's a terrific workout in addition to teaching self-defense, and it's reasonably priced.
