About Chapel Hill Music Studio in Chapel Hill, NC
For over 30 years, Rachel has been an integral part of the Chapel Hill music scene. She has been a rehearsal accompanist for the world premiere of the opera The Inca’s Chosen Bride performed at Chapel Hill High School, and has also provided accompaniment for Durham Savoyards Ltd. and The Long Leaf Opera Company. At Chapel Hill Music Studio, Rachel believes that it takes a village to teach children to love music. She works in collaboration with parents to ensure the best possible learning experience for children. Rachel is a highly experienced and knowledgeable teacher, and her commitment to the music community in Chapel Hill is truly inspiring.

Summer Lessons
Students who take lessons consistently during the summer will progress more quickly, and this is strongly recommended.

Piano and Guitar Lessons
Prior to beginning lessons, there will be a free interview for the student(s) and parent(s). This interview will assist Rachel in evaluating the student’s readiness for piano lessons (if a new student), and/or determine what curriculum or curriculum changes (if a transfer student) would be best for the student. If you prefer, you can also schedule a trial lesson for a fee as part of the interview. I have learned through the years that taking the time to meet initially and to make decisions with careful consideration is always beneficial for a long-term relationship.
